Statement of Kubota (9 October 1947)
43, now a watchman, entered army in 1924, made captain in 1942, was assigned at WAH from 1944 to June 1945, then transferred to Yamaie in June under 16th Army. At WAH Kubota worked under Staff Officer Maj. Toshizo Harasaki, who was in charge of mobilization and troop transportation, acted as liaison between headquarters and the army divisions. Kubota was concerned with movement of large groups (say, over 50) PWs through the PW camps. Kubota has no knowledge of Murders of Prisoners.
