Tavenner writes to Keenan with updates regarding the progress of the trial. Requests additional legal personnel from the United States to help out the legal staff. Indicates that representatives for the accused in Sugamo Prison are demanding their clients be released if they are not going to be prosecuted. Also states that Tavenner will "review Justice Mansfield's evidence with him in a few days" given the observations made by the Court to Mansfield "regarding the length of evidence dealing with conventioanl war crimes, the reason of which is very applicable to atrocities." Discusses concerns over the length of evidence presented and the possibility that the Tribunal will limit testimony regarding POWs and atrocities.
