Def. Doc. No. 500 A-1 -- 37, Special Industry Analyses

Gives an overview, including structure and content, of 37 Special Study Analyses prepared by a member of the staff of the U. S. Tariff Commission for Foreign Economic Administration. The studies cover the time period from 1928 - 1939. Notes that "a substantial portion of each study is directed to post war problems and the unemployment problem which it is anticipated will arise in Japan from the cutting back of production at the close of the war and the effect of the prohibition of the import or export of the article on the future economic development of Japan." William Logan did not anticipate introducing these case studies into evidence.
