Reports that SCAP will thoroughly investigate the disappearance of Mrs. Verna Gordon Brittain, "an American citizen last seen entering the conning tower of a Japanese submarine which had torpedoed the Dutch ship on which she was traveling." The Japanese submarine she is reported to have been taken on was under the command of Captain Arizumi.
