Statement of Hirao (28 Aug - 47). In 1945, at Ishiyama Surgical Clinic were: Torisu, Mori, Nishimura (who left in early May 45), Morimoto, who arrived from the front in early May 45, Tahiro, Nogawa, Rin, Sha, Kubo,all of whom treated patients.

Statement of Senba (2-10 Sept 47). Sea water experiments were conducted on rabbits, found satisfactory, used on about 30 patients, between April 1945 and February 1946, first used in a Doctor Sha shoulder tumor operation in April 1945, after the operation the patient having lost a great deal of blood.

At 1300, 17 May, Torisu told Senba to take some sea water to the autopsy room. Senba prepared to take about 2000 ccs and equipment to inject it. At 1500, Senba saw Miki, Suyama and Manage taking a cart loaded with operating equipment and lamps toward the autopsy section. Senba passed them on the way. Nogawa and Tashiro were already there. Hirao and Torisu arrived 10 minutes later and with Senba and possibly Nogawa walked out of the building, with Sha and Kubo waiting out there. 30 minutes later, about 1600 a truck arrived with the 2 Prisoners lying in the back of the truck, talking to each other in English, with about 4 Japanese soldiers.

During this operation, Sha stitched. Senba believes only Sha and Kubo left before the operation was finished.

Statement of Tashiro. Jiro (9-24 Oct 47). About Hune, before the airraid, Tashiro attended operations on Prisoners at the Autopsy Room, of the Autopsy Section, which were on a lung and a brain. Present was Sha.

Statement of Kubo (8 Oct 47). 2 or 3 days before Kubo attended an operation on a Prisoner, ho heard there was to be an operation on an American flyer from someone in First Surgery. About 1330 or 1400, on the day of the operations, he was asked to help others carry instruments by people pushing a cart with a sheet over it. He helped push, felt they were for the Prisoners operations. Another group from First Surgery were going cut of the building with some sort of equipment. It was unusual. Kubo believes Sha was in this second group.
