Testimony at K̶U̶Y̶ KIU trial

Tokyo intelligence section (6th Sec. of Gen Staff Hq) had no authority concerning execution of Flyers, so KIKKAWA’s statement to kill them was rash.

What is meant by "Nothing was considered forbidden if it were directed against the enemy?" It was the determination of the CO (YOKOYAMA) at that time. This included captives.

About beginning of April 1945, YOKOYAMA issued a manual as to the decisive battle operations for WA, which stated that no soldier shall be recognized as a PW which SATO interpreted to mean that no Prisoner was to live. This did not mean that it would be put into effect unless invasion.
