Charges: Executing an American Flyer on or about 10 August 1945, at Arurayama, Fukuoka-Ken. Evidence: Tatsuo ITEZONO, testimony PE-123, when questioned regarding the 10 August 1945 execution, stated: "Then 1st Lt. OTOSU went to the side of the grave. While he was washing his sword, a guard brought a blindfolded prisoner, dressed only in shorts, to the side of the pit. The guard made the prisoner sit on his haunches by the grave and then withdrew. OTOSU stepped over by the prisoner raised his sword above his head with both hands and with a single stroke more than half severed the prisoner’s head." |
