Statement of Shiotsu (14 Nov 47). Shiotsu heard that Ishiyama, Torisu, and Hirao performed operations on American Prisoners, that Semba, Nogawa and Kubo were present, that sea water was injected and in one case a whole stomach was removed. These were performed in the Anatomy Section. Shiotsu attended a farewell party for Mori and Hino, in the Doctors Mess Hall at First Surgery, from about 1800 to 2100, April or May 1945. Mori and Hino sat on side of Ishiyama, Torisu and Hirao on the other. Also present were Semba, Nogawa, Kubo, Marita, Mukai, Sha, possibly Tomoki Tashiro and Jiro Tashiro. Shiotsu didn't hear anything about Prisoners, but at one time he thinks he did hear someone in the lab say that Komori was going to bring Prisoners to the University. Shiotsu also remembers that one day Morimoto who worked in the same lab, told him he should not attend the operations the operations because it was a bad thing, Shiot su believes this was after they started.
