FUJISAKI, Shigetsugu Statement of Fujisaki (15 July 1947) 26, now a ship's doctor, was a 1st Lt. Medical Officer at WAH from Sept. 1944 to Dec. 1945, handled the records on number of Japanese soldiers sick and ascertained hospital to take them, attached to Medical Section. About June 1945 1st Lt. Kesijiro YAMASAKI, who worked in same room, told Fujisaki that some PWs had been brought to WAH. He was in charge of the allocation of Medical Officers and men to units. Maj. Honjo was Fujisaki1s immediate superior. WAH had a special doctor who would treat PWs, but was in a different medical detachment which was attached to the unit assigned to the PWs— Fujisaki doesn't know his name. |
