The day after the second operation, Takahaski and Yata went to the Autopsy Room of the Anatomy Dept and saw 3 bodies of the American Prisoners of War; they were nude, each in different coffins; each body had a vertical incision approximately 6" on the stomach ending below the naval all let open.

When Yata, Takahashi and Takata were in the janitors' quarters, Takata said that the bodies were still in the Autopsy Room, so they went to see, entering the Sutopsy Room from the east entrance adjoining the Autopsy Training Room. As Yata entered, he saw a coffin on his right parallel with the length of the room and a little to the east but near the center.
