OTSUKI (OC) Statement of Saito (420, 15 M ay 47) In early August an execution took place at Aburayama. On a return visit to former headquarters, saw truck leave headquarters with about 10 flyers, 30-40 people on truck. Persons present who went to execution: OC Otsuki etc. Saito did not see this incident, heard that after the execution of some Japanese criminals the flyers were beaten and shot at with bow and arrows and then beheaded. Hayada (Sota) and Otsuki told Saito of this. |

(or Hayada) Statement of Sota (420, 15 May 47) Sota witnessed execution of American flyers at Aburayama in beginning of August. Tomomori ordered one who was proficient in "Karate" who only succeeded in rendering flyer unconscious, flyer was then beheaded. Col. Tomomori and Maj. Itezono ordered Otsuki from Headquarters Section to fix bow and arrow and hit flyer from a distance of about 5-6 yards. The 1st arrow scratched the flyer, 2nd missed, and flyer beheaded by an OC. |
