"SHIBATA"  [Marginal Note: (KIU) ]

Statement of Jlnnaka (420, 9 June 1947) In Oct. as dean of medical college, Jixmaka received letter from a "Shibata" who claimed to be a Univeristy student (but false) which stated: (In Japanese) "You were a very Strict and hard teacher during the war and are not fitted to be the Dean of the Medical College; there­fore, resign from this position at once. If you do not resign this position I will send the enclosed letter to the Comman­dant of the Allied Forces.11

In English: "Allied prisoners who were captured from B-29 planes which crashed were operated on in an inhuman fasion and killed at the University of Kyushu, many doctors were involved in these operations such as doctors from the hospitals of Surgery, Anatomy, Patheology, Orthopedics and others. From a Democratic Student."
