Statement of Murata (7-9 July 1947)

47, studied law  at Kyoto Imperial University from 1923 to 1926, was then a governmental prosecutor, practiced in Kobe to incarceration. Was inducted in the army in 1941, made first Lt, 1943, was attached to WAH Legal Section from 1942 to 7 September 1945 as investigator, court judge, and prosecutor.

Murata saw American PWs beheaded 20 June and heard about 2 executions in August.
