Statement of Fumitoshi YAMAKAKA (18-27 September 1946):

On about 20 August YAMANAKA head of the 12 and 15 August executions from 1st Lts. AKAMINE, MAEDA and HASHIYAMA. YAMANAKA was told that MAEDA was on duty in the air tactical operations room at WAH, received a phone call from HASHIYAMA that KUSUMOTO wanted some men from the Air Tactical Operations room. MAEDA. selected KUBOYAMA and several others. They assembled in front of the WAH Administration Building and KUSUMOTO told them there was to be an. execution at Aburayama, and they got on a truck with the PWs, went to Aburayama and beheaded them.

MAEDA told YAMANAKA that KUBOYAMA beheaded 1' Prisoner of War.

OKI REPORT (7 Oct?):

TSUCHIYAMA stated that KUBOYAMA said that he watched the execution (15 Aug?) KUBOYAMA further listened to the stories of the others who were present at the execution (15 Aug?).

Statement of Mitsuahige INOUYE (24-27 August 48):

KUBOYAMA beheaded one flyer. In fall of 1946 NAGAOKA wired INOUYE, whom he met with KUBOYAMA in Kurme, where they agreed to flee.

MAEDA ordered INOUYE and KUBOYAMA to be at 15 August execution. KUBOYAMA executed the 4th Flyer. Two days later TSUCHIYAMA heard from KUBOYAMA that the ashes were thrown in the sea by order of MAIDA, stated he accompanied MAIDA when the ashes were thrown in the sea.
