The sword wound defendant inflicted did not penetrate the main artery in the neck, but penetrated about 2/3s of the neck. Defendant is not clear whether he fell on his back. The blood did not spurt. Defendant's gash was about 3" wide. The flyer would have died from defendant's wounds
