Statement of ITEZONA - 6 Jan 1947 - (420)

On 10 August 1945, Aihara told Itzeona of Aburaya execution on the next day at 0900, gave him directions, and invited him to go. Said that eight prisoners were to be executed. Itzeona believes that Aihara arranged the transportation.. On the 16th of August Aihara attended a conference relating to the execution.

Statement of AIHARA - 26 April 1947 (420)

Aihara remembers the name of Marvin S. Watkins, but not his face. Watkins was brought to Western Army Headquarters during the first ten days of May 1945. Aihara took his name and record and then turned him over to the Administration Section. He believes two or three others were sent in at the same time by the Kurume Kempe-Tai (Divisional Hqs). he was brought in. Sato gave Aihara orders which Aihara passed to Goiyama to have Watkins sent to Tokyo.

Aihara recalls a man named Williams who was brought to Western Army Hqs. If he was brought in in May he was sent to Kiu or beheaded on 20 August.
