Off., IJA, Testimony PP-28, when questioned about the 10 August 1945 executions--------"NODA walked up to the prisoner and in a boxer*s stance with closed fist delivered several blows (about four times) to the prisoner's diaphram and stomach using both of his fists one after another." "Then he also kicked the prisoner in the scrotum a few times (once or twice) with the tip of his shoes." Tatsuo ITEZONO, testimony PP-123, when describing the 10 August 1945 execution, states: "Probationary Officer NODA, who was standing in the crowd, stepped out and said that he would try KARATE on the prisoner. He stripped down to his undershirt, from the waist up, and walked towards the prisoner. He stood in front of the prisoner with his feet apart, and,with closed fists, practiced, without hitting the prisoner the diaphragm blow several times. He then stepped back three or four steps. Then he assumed a crouched running position and had his right arm by his side, with the fist closed and the ring finger thrust outward, only half bent. He then ran towards the prisoner and stopped just before reaching him and in a boxer's stance struck the flyer once in the diaphragm. The prisoner moaned and slumped forward"--------"NODA repeated this action two or three times."--------"NODA. again tried the punch several times but it showed no results."
