On 15 August 1945, Nakamura was at Aburayama in charge of cremation of the flyers. Wako turned over 31 or 32 bodies to him. Murata in­ structed him to take the ashes of the 16 flyers and bury them at Rokuponmatsu at Fukuoka City, and he did so, burying them in the highest part of the cemetary. The bodies were cremated about 1900 and the rest of the ashes put in a large box and straw sack and were left at the detention barracks at the order of the Adjutant General's Section.

Sato told Itezona that Nakamura would make all preparations for 11 August Aburayama execution and told Itezona that he would use a bow and arrow ahd 'kurate' .

Nakamura was the driver of the truck taking the prisoners to the execution on the morning of 11 August. Itezona believes that at Aburayama, Nakamura and Wako followed Itezona and Tomomori to the spot where Tomomori decided the prisoners were to be buried. Before the execution, Nakamura formed the enlisted men under his command.

At the 16th August conference regarding"the execution Nakamura came in and said the bodies of the 11 August execution had been cremated with those of 15 August.

Interrogation of Oki - May 1947

Oki received information from Nakamura as to the ashes and Nakamura, Oki and Tait dug up the ashes. Nakamura burned the bodies on 15 August. Nakamura said that the ashes were first put in the temple, then taken to the mountain.
