Statement of Mori (6 Nov. 1947) About 10 May, before the 1st PW operations, there was a farewell party for Mori, Hino, and Nishimura in the doctors mess hall at 1st Surgery, starting about 1700, ending about 1830. Some people got drunk. Present were Ishiyama, Torisu, Mukai, Jiro Tashiro, Hirao, Nogawa, Semba, Hino, Nishimura, Mori, and probably Tomoki Tashiro, Kubo, Morimoto and Shiozu, but he is not certain. Ishiyama made no mention of any unusual or experimental operations to be held at the University. Mori heard nothing about the PWs until the day of the operation. This party was before the first operation. |

The trial sought to hold key leaders in Japan's bio-weapons program accountable for atrocities after WWII.
