Statement of Hirao (28 lug - Sept 47). In 1945, at Ishiyama Clinic the nurses included Headnurse, Tsutsui, Miki, Manabe, Suyama, and Takayama. In the first series of operations on Prisoners, Miki handed the instruments to Ishiyama. Tsutsui stood near the instrument table, supervised Miki- Rubo was also in the room. Ishiyama had already told them to prepare for a lung operation and Hirao and Mori, Hirao thinks, tended to those preparations,assisted by Miki. In the 4th series, those who participated in this latter operation were: Ishiyama, Komori, Morimoto and Nurse Miki.

Statement of Senba (2 Sept-10 Sept 47). It the operation, 17 May, about 1300, Ishiyama operated, Miki was the only nurse assisting during this operation, passed the instruments. In the second series, about 23 May, at 1400, Ishiyama told Senba that there would be an experimental operation on an American Prisoner, that he should bring seawater, and he got 2000 ccs, went to the Autopsy Room, with Hirao and Mori at 1500. Miki, Tsutsui, Suyama, Manabe and Senba believes, Tashiro and Nogawa were already there. Ishiyama did the operating and Miki passed the operating instruments. A, 1300 ‘about 28 May, Ishiyama told Senba that the next day there would be an experimental operation on a Prisoner in the Autopsy Room and he should bring the sea water. He went to the Autopsy Room (29 May) about 1500. 10 minutes later Tashiro, Nogawa, Tsutsui, Suyama and Miki arrived with the operating instruments. At the 4th series, Ishiyama "as on the Prisoner’s right, near the head. Komori across from him, Morimoto to the left of Komori, Miki on the right of Ishiyama near the instrument table. After the operation was almost finished, Senba believes it was a lung operation, when Senba arrived Miki, Komori and Morimoto moved the table into the corner. It seemed the Prisoner was dead. A third Prisoner was brought in by 2 guards, At the operating table, Ishiyama stood on the right of Hirao, Miki on his right, between Ishiyama and the instrument table. |

At the first series of operations Ishiyama stood on the Prisoner’s right, Torisu on his left, Miki on the Prisoner’s right, handed the instruments placed on a table perpendicular to the operating table, Ishiyama handed the lung to Miki, who placed it on the instrument table. |
