Deals with investigation by Kempetai of Staff Intelligence Officer on capture. 2. If question of violation of International Law, flyers tried by Military Commission. 3. If not question of International Law they were treated as Prisoners of War. Section II States that if flyers suspected of violation of International Law, he will be tried under Jap Army Wartime Laws for Military Commissions - 1922. in which there are three judges, no Defense permitted, no appeal and closed trial. Section III Attaches a list of maximum punishments. Supplemental Directive on the General Staff of July 1942 states trial records will be forwarded to Tokyo on passing of sentence. Supplemental Order of October 1942 states all death sentences are to be reported to General Sugiyama, Chief of Staff, GHQ. |
