Statement of Yoshimura (16-28 June 1947) In the first part of April 1945 Maj. Matsunaga and Mr. Hamano of Welfare Bureau and a few others came to discuss the transfer of TB sanitariums in Kyushu from Welfare Bureau to the army. In late May or early June Lt. Col. Kobayakawa and Maj. Matsunaga came to inspect battle preparations as to medical matters and to inspect bomb damage. Yoshimura believes a report written by Komori was given to Kobayakawa and Matsunaga concerning the Prisoners operated at KIU. |

This book documents the legal proceedings of the December 1949 Khabarovsk trial in which twelve members of the Japanese Army's covert biological warfare Unit 731 were prosecuted for their war crimes.
