Suzuki Report - 26 April 1947 (420)

Kusumoto was the Adjutant at Western Army. On 15 August he was informed by the Jr. Adjutant that he would like an opinion from higher Hqs as to whether flyers should be removed to the Command Post when the Hqs was combined. Kusumoto saw Sato who said "severe disposition"; he ordered Kusumoto to take severe measures and Kusumoto in turn transmitted orders to officer in Operations Office, who disposed of the 15 prisoners. In the second version, Kusumoto went to Sato about the prisoners and Sato said "let's do it".
