Statement of Inouye (420, 9 June 1947) At 2nd Army Hospital, called in by Lt. Col., head of Hospital - ordered to see Maj. Kubo, who told him to see Tomoda, who gave him details of making AA - this in late June or early July.

Inouye was a PO, has been at WA medical officers headquarters once for about an hour to meet Kubo, but not at WAHq. Kubo, at WA Medical Headquarters told Inouye that he might be called back to KIU to make blood substitute, Kubo being a member of the medical staff at WA Medi­cal Headquarters.

After reporting to Kubo, went to see Tomoda with Inokuchi, and the two then stayed at 2nd Army Hospital for about 2 weeks, transferred to Fukuoka Sanitation Material Department at Kurume about beginning of july, receiving 7-8 assistants under command of Lt. Col. Kuroda, although Inouye believes Tomoda had some connexion with it.

Statement of Tanamachi (420. 9 June 1947) Tanamachi believes that Komori's assistant was a 1st Lt. named Kubo, not a major.

Statement of Tsurumaru (20-25 May 1947) Maj. Kubo was in charge of pharmacy, medicines, bandages and other medical supplies, assisted by 2nd Lt Aijima and P.O. Sakai.

There was no Lt. Kubo in the medical section, (only Maj. Kubo) W.O. Furukawa and Mitoma, a girl, worked under Yoshimura.

Statement of Horiuchi (16 June-30 July 1947) Horiuchi talked to Komori in his office every 7-10 days at the time he came to see Yoshimura and Kubo on the hospital (Kaikosha) business.

4 December 1945 9 of former WA Medical Department personnl held a party including Honjo, Maekawa, Hishiyama, Tsurumaru, Ikeda, Kubo and 2 NCOs.
