KIDA, KANEO [Marginal Note: (KIU) ]

Statement of Ishisawa (21 May - 2 June 1947) During 1945 the only assistant in the Anatomy Department was Kaneo Kida.

During 1945 Hirako, assisted by Assistant Professor Katsuni Tanaka, and Assis­tant Kaneo Kida taught dissection.

In May 1947 Takada came to Ishisawa's home to tell him of something stolen from the department, at the time told him that Goshima, (Gifu-ken), Kaneo Kida (Nagasaki), assistants to Hirako and Reichiro Makino, Ishisawa*s assistant, should know about the operations because they were around the department at the time.

Statement of Tanaka (23 May 1947) Assistant of Hirako was Kaneo Kida.

In August or September 1946 Kaneo Kida had visited Tanaka and had told him of his visit with Hirako at Sugamo. Hirako told him that there was an audiophone in the interview room, so he could not speak of the operations; Hirako did say that he heard when he came to Sugamo that there was a party of those who were involved in the operations back in the spring of 1945, but he hadn’t at­tended.

Statement of Tanaka (6 June 1947) In September 1945, Tanaka talked with Kaneo Kida, who had seen Hirako at Sugamo, Hirako telling him that he had been interrogated and the investigator seemed to feel that he was almost without guilt.
