Statement of Ishisawa (13 June 1947) (This statement used to break Yata)

Ishisawa had said that the ashes had been brought back to Hirako in a little box, but he heard from Uriyu, at the Medical College office, that these ashes had been brought back to Hirako in 4 envelopes, that Uriyu heard this from Igarashi.

Ishisawa heard from Professor Mori, who came back from: Java last summer and is taking the place of Shindo in the Anatomy Section, that he also heard this. (This Mori not Yoshio Mori) He also heard that Hirako kept the ashes in his room for awhile, heard that Tanaka and Sakai had disposed of the ashes.

Takahashi states that Yata told him sometime in the summer of 1945 that operations had been held on PWs, that Yata had taken Takahashi back to examine the autopsy room of the Anatomy Department at that time, had seen 3 bodies without heads there, that it was a day or so after the operations, that he heard the bodies were kept there a few days.

Ishisawa further heard that there had been a meeting of both the 1st Surgical Clinic and the Anatomy Department and the Dean of the Medical College, with Dr. Ohno and Jinnaka, after the latter two were asked to cooperate with the Legal Section.
